What Your Care May Include
Depending on your needs and goals, treatment may incorporate:
-
Manual therapy is a specialized, hands-on clinical approach where physical therapists use their hands to perform joint mobilization, soft tissue and myofascial techniques, trigger point therapy, passive stretching, scar mobilization, and other skilled manual techniques. This targeted approach directly reduces pain, decreases muscle tension, and improves joint mobility to restore effortless, natural movement.
-
Dry needling (DN) is a skilled technique performed by a licensed physical therapist using a thin, sterile, single-use filiform needle inserted through the skin into underlying muscle, myofascial trigger points, or connective tissue. DN is intended to reduce muscle pain, tension, and spasm; decrease trigger-point sensitivity; improve circulation; and support your overall plan of care for pain, mobility, and function.
-
Graston Technique® is a form of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) that uses a specialized stainless-steel instrument to gently scrape and mobilize soft tissue, helping break down scar tissue and adhesions, reduce muscle tension, and improve circulation to the treated area. It's commonly used on muscles to speed recovery from strains, improve flexibility, and restore normal movement patterns.
-
Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to lift and decompress soft tissue, helping release muscle tightness, improve local blood flow, and reduce pain. It's often used alongside other physical therapy techniques to support recovery, ease tension, and improve range of motion.
-
Therapeutic exercise is a core component of physical therapy featuring customized, medically supervised movement programs designed to restore strength, flexibility, and physical function. This targeted approach corrects movement imbalances, builds long-term joint stability, and protects your body against future injuries.
-
As a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP), I use Kinesio® Tape to provide targeted support, enhance proprioceptive awareness, and complement movement and recovery. The flexible tape moves with your body, allowing you to stay active while supporting your individual treatment goals.
-
A detailed assessment of your posture, joint mechanics, and movement patterns to uncover the root cause of pain or limitation. We use these findings to build a personalized plan that corrects compensations, reduces injury risk, and helps you move more efficiently.
