Meet Dr. Anna Wisherd…
With over 15 years of clinical experience, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people overcome pain, recover from injury, and return to the activities that matter most. My experience spans orthopedic and sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, complex musculoskeletal conditions, neurological disorders, and amputee care. I’ve had the privilege of working with active-duty service members, military families, and retirees, with the last six years of my clinical career focused on caring for Special Operations Forces personnel. This experience has shaped my approach to providing individualized, evidence-based care that recognizes the unique demands of military life and the importance of staying strong, capable, and active.
As a military spouse, I understand firsthand the challenges military families face—from frequent moves and demanding schedules to deployments and finding consistent, high-quality healthcare. Those experiences inspired me to create Anchored Physical Therapy & Wellness, a concierge mobile practice that brings expert, one-on-one physical therapy directly to your home, office, or preferred location throughout the Camp Lejeune and New River communities.
My perspective as both a clinician and a breast cancer survivor has reinforced something I believe deeply: healing is about more than reducing pain. It’s about restoring confidence, independence, and the ability to fully engage in the people, activities, and purpose that make life meaningful.
Outside of the clinic, my husband and I love staying active and exploring the world together. We’ve traveled to 40 countries, with favorite adventures including dog sledding in Norway, hiking Mount Fuji, and glacier climbing in Iceland. I’m also a self-proclaimed foodie and coffee lover, so discovering a great local restaurant or coffee shop is always part of the adventure. I love trying new things, staying active, and challenging myself—and I believe movement should help you experience more of the life you love, not hold you back from it.

My Philosophy
My philosophy is simple: every patient deserves individualized care, time to be heard, and a treatment plan built around their unique goals—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're recovering from an injury, preparing for a fitness test, managing chronic pain, returning to a sport, playing with your children, or simply wanting to move with greater confidence, I work with you to identify the root cause of your symptoms and develop a plan that creates lasting results.
I incorporate evidence-based treatment with advanced techniques including manual therapy, dry needling, Graston Technique®, kinesiology taping, cupping, therapeutic exercise, movement analysis, and recovery modalities to help you heal efficiently and perform at your best.
